Two ways to order
Customised individually lets every mug carry a different design, name or photo. You upload one file per mug. Order 1 to 100 mugs this way. It’s the option for farewell gifts, team names and birthday photo mugs.
Bulk same design puts one design on every mug and costs less per piece. Order 50 to 10,000 mugs. Use it for corporate gifts, pantry mugs and event giveaways. If you need the design done for you, choose artwork creation on the order form.
Why sublimation
Sublimation turns the ink into a gas under heat, and it bonds into the mug’s coating. The print becomes part of the surface, so it doesn’t peel or scratch off with washing. It also handles photos and gradients well, so you aren’t limited to a flat logo.
Designing for a mug
- Lay out your artwork as a flat 190 x 80mm rectangle. It curves around the mug when printed. Download our blank template from the order form so your design fits the print area.
- Repeat your logo on both halves of the print area so it shows whichever way the mug is held.
- There’s no white ink in sublimation. White areas in your design show the white of the porcelain.
- Supply files at 300 DPI. Mugs accept RGB as well as CMYK artwork, and RGB files usually keep more of their colour on sublimation, so there’s no need to convert.
- Outline text and embed images in AI files.
