Which paper should I choose?

80gsm Simili is uncoated and light, close to office paper. It’s the cheapest option for mass handouts and forms people fill in by hand.

128gsm art paper is the standard flyer weight. It’s coated, so photos and colours print sharper than on Simili. 157gsm is a little thicker and feels more substantial when handed over.

260gsm and 310gsm art card are stiff enough for menus, price lists and anything that stands on a counter or gets handled many times. Add lamination on these heavier stocks for wipeable, scuff-resistant flyers.

Urgent 24-hour printing

Choose Urgent at the top of the form when you need flyers the next working day. The 24 hours start once your final artwork is confirmed, and orders follow a daily cut-off time. An urgent order confirmed on Monday is printed on Tuesday and ready on Wednesday. Weekends and public holidays don’t count. Our printing lead time guide has the full rules.

Digital or offset?

Digital is the better choice for short runs and tight deadlines. For large runs, offset printing becomes cheaper per piece. Compare with our offset flyer printing, and read our digital vs offset guide for the difference.

Artwork checklist

  • Set the page to the finished size and add 2mm bleed on every side. See our bleed guide.
  • Keep text at least 3mm inside the trim edge.
  • Use CMYK at 300 DPI. Read our RGB vs CMYK guide if your colours look different in print.
  • Keep total ink coverage at or under 240%. A rich black of C60 M40 Y40 K100 prints solid without going muddy.
  • Outline fonts before exporting the PDF. Here’s how.
  • Avoid thin borders around the edge. They rarely look even after trimming; our safe border guide explains why.
